I could not think of what would be a good thing to talk about. When i thought of doing my eyenrow and ear movements i was a little nervous and felt like i would get negative feedback because it is a little weird. I felt i did ok but there is always room for improvement. I felt my eye contact was good but my pace and volume were bad.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8766181031976447003.post-25148581526892358422015-04-02T07:33:09.034-07:002015-04-02T07:33:09.034-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8766181031976447003.post-16266972610028128492015-03-23T21:45:04.866-07:002015-03-23T21:45:04.866-07:00this was probably the hardest speech I have done.I...this was probably the hardest speech I have done.I probably practice more times than I should have, but no matter how many times I practiced I still closed my eyes and flashbacked every time I talked about looking under the science table.I didn't remember making any hand gestures except for the one where I pounded on the desk, but I don't know why I did that as it was not planned. also did not realize that I still do with my hands behind my back the entire time. That topic however was not my first idea. I was planning on doing hurdles, but that's what Rachel did. Then I was thinking about doing wrestling, but Bremer informed me that's what he was doing. I felt like I didn't make that good of eye contact and at the end my voice started shaking because I always get more and more nervous as the speech goes on.

Matt Bremer: of course I loved your speech because you and I have that bond of throwing people all the time. You made great eye contact and you were really passionate about what you were talking about. I was glad to be a part of it and keep practicing for next year in wrestling.

Alex: you sir and a genius when it comes to on the spot talking. Although I'm sure you were nervous as everyone is, but you seemed in control as always. Out of the talents and minutes of fame presented, I would argue that yours took the most courage to do. You were well prepared and your eye contact was on point. You stayed focus on your subject for the most part, but some the facts about the band I found were a little trivial and said only because you were starting to go off on a tangent. But you refocused and you did a good job overall. Although you did mess up a few times, your tricks were interesting and impressive. As you were doing your conclusion you managed to distract yourself, but you quickly focused again and went on a slight tangent. Overall, great job on your speech. I decided last minute that I would do my speech on my handmade micro-crossbows and that I world attempt to pop ballons. That was all the planning I did. Looking back at my speech, I see that not planning out the speaking portion resulted in a weak introduction, a weak body and presenting, and no conclusion what-so-ever. There are multiple long ackward pauses and I severely used filler words. I don't think my eye contact was up to par either. Although it was entertaining to pop balloons and kept the audience interested, it was evident that I had to many balloons. I realize that there is no speech I can do last minute. I was still a bit nervous, and this showed in how I spoke and my lack of eye contact. If I had practiced more my confidence and poise would have come along farther. However, I believe that my speech was organized and to the point. I had an introduction, middle and an end. I did not use many gestures, I may have put up a finger for my first pose, or two for my second, besides that I did not make much use of them. My "talent" was yoga. If I had the opportunity to redo this speech I wouldn't have chosen differently. I felt the most solid on this topic, and felt that I had information to back it up. I think you seemed a bit more confident and conversational and although you didn't land your tricks very well, we all understood because the floor was slippery and you brushed it off like a pro. I think your eye contact and gestures instead of playing with your skateboard could be the places this speech could've have been improved upon but otherwise good job. I didn't really warm up or prepare to actually hurdle which probably made me more nervous and affected my speaking. I didn't really have my speech very organized and think that was a little obvious. I felt as though I was just kind of rambling and could have done a much better job showcasing what I can do. Rachel Koepkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13893320574086776872noreply@blogger.com
